My story begins with a grown man writing one fantastic book. He loved to write and help to influence other people. This book he is writing is about teens and 7 habits that they should be doing. It shows how teens do some things wrong and right. It’s pretty much like a teen guide on a successful high school and maybe early college life. The authors name is Sean Covey but he is also the main character of the book. The 7 Habits of highly effective teens is a nonfiction book and Sean is writing based on how he lived through his teen life and also getting help from other teens, showing what mistakes they made and how to fix them. One day he comes across a kid that probably needed this book a lot.
His name is Junior and he is a great cartoonist growing up in a strange Indian reservation. He has a lot of medical issues but he is a strong kid. Everyone picks on him and he is sick of it. So he moves to an all white American school. Sean was looking for children to interview for his story and came across Junior.
“Hey kid can I ask you a couple of questions for a book I’m writing,” Asked Sean with interest.
“Um I’m not really sure what you’re going to ask but alright,” murmured junior.
“Have you ever heard about bullying or harassment,” questioned Sean?
“Well I think that means when somebody is being mean to you or when you ask them to leave they won’t and keep making you feel bad about yourself.”
“Yeah yeah that’s right, has that ever happened to you before son?”
“Actually yes it has, when I was in my old school these older kids were picking on me because I was slower than them,” explained Junior.
“Well that’s actually something great that I could add into my book,” Said Sean.
“By the way kid I never got your name?”
“My name is Junior and yours?”
“My name is Sean, Sean Covey.”
“It’s weird because I was just like you when I was younger and little shy and nervous but could talk to anybody about anything” whispered Sean.
“Well it was nice meeting you Mr. Covey.”
“Please call me Sean and you too champ!” said Sean.
They both grinned and walked away. This shows how meeting someone new is always a good thing. Also that telling somebody if you’re getting abused or ever did can help you heal and get better.
